Issues

    • Double Tracking throughout the Commuter Rail system

      • Expanding double-tracking throughout the commuter rail network would allow trains to travel inbound and outbound simultaneously, improving schedule reliability, reducing delays, and increasing service frequency for riders.

    • Commuter Rail Expansion

      • Expanding commuter rail service would give more residents access to public transportation, providing practical alternatives to driving.

    • Bringing all stations to ADA compliance

      • Public transportation should be accessible to everyone. No rider should be denied access because of outdated infrastructure. Bringing all commuter rail stations into full ADA compliance will ensure that people of all abilities can travel

    • Many young people cannot afford to live in Massachusetts. As a result, many remain with their parents longer than they would like or leave the Commonwealth altogether in search of more affordable opportunities.

    • Housing and transportation policy must work hand in hand. By encouraging the development of more housing outside the Greater Boston area while investing in reliable transit connections to Boston and other cities, we can expand housing opportunities, and ensure that future generations can continue to live, work, and raise families in our great Commonwealth.

    • Creating a statewide electric company, so there is no more reliance on private electric companies that prioritize profit first, i.e. Eversource and National Grid

    • Establishing a regulatory board to ensure if/when data centers get built in our state, the commonwealth can monitor electricity and water use

    • Two years ago, the people voted in favor of an audit of the Legislature by the State Auditor, yet that audit has still not been completed. If elected, I would support a full and independent audit conducted by the State Auditor.

    • Changing global events have highlighted the need for diverse and reliable energy sources. Wind, solar, and nuclear power offer viable alternatives that can reduce our dependence on oil for electricity and heating.

    • Massachusetts is already one of the higher-taxed states in the country. Yet those revenues help sustain a top-ranked education system and one of the nation's strongest social safety nets, contributing to our state's consistently high quality of life.
